yo.

So not that anyone is actually reading this, but yeah, I haven't posted because my memory card has been playing up still, so I'm giving up with the whole picture every day, and just posting whatever and whenever  purely because I've missed too many days and my memory card is fucked.

Monday 27 June 2011

day twenty-four.

So my memory card is still playing up, so today I'd had enough and decided I would scan in some photo's I took a few months ago, which I just hadn't got round to putting up. I took these as part of my AS Photography, based around the theme of Bulimia, but I decided to make a contrast, and create a "fashionable Bulimia", which of course, there is no such thing. But I decided to use my beautiful friend Carys, who is so easy to take pictures of and we really did have a fun time taking all these pictures. But these were actually taken on a disposable camera, and I really love how they turned out!

Sunday 26 June 2011

day twenty-three.

It's strange how one person can have such a big effect on your life, how they can cheer you up no matter what, how they know you better than you know yourself, and how they make you smile everyday without fail. When I was upset today, I could not see how I was going to get happy again, but that one person knew exactly what to say and exactly what to do to make me smile again. I don;t think I could ever write exactly how I feel about this one person, it has taken me so long, just to write this small little bit because I have so much to say. What I can say is, that one person is amazing.

day twenty-two.

Super blonde! I've dyed my hair even blonder, so it's now a kind of greyish blonde, I love it. Although, when it's all pushed back I look like Draco Malfoy. But still, YAY, SUPER BLONDE! Oh and this is my baby, also known as my camera.

day twenty-one.

I had a lovely night out with all my friends, we went to an Indian restaurant in Brick Lane, we had a shit load of food and alcohol and then ended up sprinting to the station to get the last train. My friends are honestly some of the best people I know, I really don't know what I'd do without them.

Thursday 23 June 2011

day twenty.

Everyone's been talking a lot about summer recently, and A LOT about V Festival, it's been bringing back a lot of memories. Us Essex folk do love to go to V Festival, and even though the line up isn't that great, to me anyway, it's more about the atmosphere. There's so many people there that you know, and you meet so many people as well, I even met my boyfriend there last year, which I must admit, is pretty cool. But it's made me flick through my pictures from last year, through the awesome memories, my highlight definitely has to be seeing The Prodigy, I so want to see them again! But yeah, here's my little mini collage (:

day nineteen.

This is teddy, I've had him ever since I was born and he's been through a lot, including having his nose torn off by a greedy little puppy. It's nice to have your own comfort, something that you've got used to, something that's yours and feels likes home. Yeah, so I'm a bit old for a teddy, but I've got so used to sleeping with this old little thing under my arm, it's just becomes habit now and again to do it. I do love that feeling of being completely comfortable wrapped up in your duvet with your own comforts, it's quite nice.

Tuesday 21 June 2011

day eighteen.

I went to the BBC today for a school trip, there was only a small group of us, but it was a really good day which included me becoming a weather girl for Hong Kong, getting highly excited over Tubby Toast, chillin' with Hugh Edwards for a few hours and my first visit to Westfield's. This last picture is of this frozen yoghurt place called Snog, which I didn't get to have one as I'm skint, but don't they just look so lovely, and I'm pretty sure they taste lovely too. One day I'll have one!

Monday 20 June 2011

day seventeen.

I can't help but feel that I'm being lied to right now, I have this horrible sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach. My problem is that I can never trust someone fully, I don't know what it is, maybe a fear of rejection and humiliation, but even the people I could trust with my life, I still feel a little something pulling me back from trusting them entirely. I also happened to be listening to Fleetwood Mac earlier.

Sunday 19 June 2011

day sixteen.

Empty beer glasses, motor racing on telly, falling asleep on the sofa, need I say any more? Happy Father's Day!

day fourteen & fifteen.

Unfortunately, I was unable to take a picture on day fourteen as I completely forgot, which I'm very sorry about! But here's yesterdays pictures (day fifteen), two of these were taken by my dad of me and my boyfriend dressed as skinheads from This Is England for a film themed fancy dress party. The first shot was an accidental shot that I took, but accidents always turn out the best! My dad actually helped me in choosing what to wear as he was a skinhead himself when he was a teenager, so it's good to know that my outfit was pretty convincing!

Thursday 16 June 2011

day thirteen.

"Abbey Road" is possibly my favourite record I have, I know it might seem a bit cliché that I love The Beatles, but seriously, they're legends and they transformed music, but unfortunately the music industry seems to be being taken over by bad singers and people that wouldn't know what to do if you gave them an instrument. I really think that I've been born in the wrong era, I think the sixties was a time for me. I would've loved to be a teenager in the sixties, I could've been a hippy with seriously long hair and sit around in fields smoking weed and playing my guitar, I would've loved to be hippy! But yeah, today I rediscovered my love for this record today and it's currently spinning on my record player as I write.

Wednesday 15 June 2011

day twelve.

It appears that there was no lunar eclipse that I could see tonight, typical cloudy England ay? So instead, my picture has literally just been taken as I snuggled up in bed, and I also managed to break a lightbulb during the process of taking this photograph. I quite like the whole blur of the picture, I think it kind of matches the whole haziness of sleep and dreams. I am actually doing my new A2 Photography project on dreams, so maybe this kind of thing will come in handy, all I know is that I definitely want to use film for the project, and I will be sure to put up some film pictures as soon as I can get them developed. But for now, goodnight my lovely's! (:

day eleven.

A day late again, my bad, but it's still a picture! Shopping day is always a highlight, you come home after a long day at school to find a fridge full of brand new exciting food and you just don't know where to start! As you can probably tell, I get pretty excited over food, and shopping day just brightens my mood, knowing I'll have a choice of what to eat, instead of scavenging through the scraps left in the kitchen. Yes, I may sound sad, but hey, I know you're all thinking the same!
I've heard that tonight at about nine o'clock, there may be a lunar eclipse if the sky is clear, so hopefully I'll be able to get a picture if there is and I'll make sure to post it after, otherwise there may just be a picture of a cloudy sky...

Monday 13 June 2011

day ten.

Ahh my lovely Diana! I finished the roll last week, but today I have realised how little money I have to spare, so therefore I don't think this will be getting developed for a while yet. It's my first roll using the Diana camera and I can't wait to see how they turn out, so when I finally get them developed, I'll be sure to post some of the best ones up, if any of them look good at all that is! But firstly to get some money, that is my main issue, but I'm sure I'll figure something out, maybe I'll try and sell my cakes at school and raise money for the "Jessica Seekings Appreciation Society", I think that's a good enough cause. Maybe...

day nine.

Hi, so forgot to post yesterday, but here is yesterday's picture. I went to a Conformation party yesterday, for one of my friends from school, but unfortunately the weather was awful and was raining all afternoon. To make matters worse, on my journey home, I had to do a 45 minute walk to get to the station on the pouring rain, but luckily I was accompanied by my boyfriend and my friend Ciara. It was a pretty long walk, but it's surprising how satisfactory it can feel after walking in the rain; when we finally got home, me and my boyfriend wrapped up in some warm, dry clothes, had a Sunday roast and them cuddled up in bed, watching a film. But this doesn't explain my picture. Due to some unfortunate incident, my lens protector smashed, and I'm not quite sure how, but when searching through my bag a found my lens cap was jammed and when I finally got it off, it was all smashed underneath, so instead of crying about it, I thought it would be a perfect photo opportunity for the day! Hope you like (:

Sunday 12 June 2011

day eight.

So,  a lot of pictures here, but this was last night at my friends house, and I took A LOT of pictures, but here are just a few. The night included a lot of skanking, weird hats, fucking up my lighter - which made it so cool, I so cannot wait to get that out in the street, a lot of beer and trying to get people to "be spontaneous". I managed to get a small group shot, but everyone was everywhere and there were quite a lot of people there, but it was nice to catch up with everyone and have a laugh, and as you can tell from the group shot, everyone is ever so Essex or thinks they're in the ICF, god love 'em.

Saturday 11 June 2011

stillness is the move.

The memory card survived! So my camera is now up and running again. Only a few pictures this time, was a quickly-get-a-picture-before-I-leave moment; it's a not so colourful outfit, it's one of my "summery grunge" looks and it's just really comfy to be quite honest! I'm wearing my beloved "Florence & The Machine" tee, which I got for my birthday; I absolutely love F&TM, and Florence Welch has such good style, I'd love to have her wardrobe. I have a black body con skirt underneath, which you can't really see, but it stops me from flashing my knickers anyway. I've got my boyfriend's hoodie on, it's so so comfy and I often steal it from him, I'll probably never give it back this time. And of course, my rings! I wear my double fingered cross ring all the time, simple, cheap and goes with everything, sorted. Oh and my converse were an amazing find, at £1 from a boot sale and hardly worn! I really recommend going to boot sales, although they can be pretty early, hectic and most filled with junk, there is always the chance that you'll find a little hidden treasure from someone's boot!

Thursday 9 June 2011

bad news.

An unfortunate incident occurred in the early evening of yesterday. Due to the clumsiness of myself, I dropped my memory card on the floor. The injuries of the memory card are critical, and at this current moment in time, I'm not sure if it will make it through. Due to the accident that occurred, I'm afraid that there will be no further pictures of my daily life until further notice.

Wednesday 8 June 2011

day seven.

These are my yummy cupcakes that I've made after I got home from school today. I've really started to cook a lot recently, my family are loving it, but it's making me look like some kind of aspiring house wife, which isn't on my list of things to be when I grow up. I guess I could put up with it for a bit, but I get so bored inside, I want adventure and fun in my life, and a bit of cooking cakes and cookies on the side. But just so you all know, these cakes taste pretty good, I think I'm starting to become a pretty good cook!

Tuesday 7 June 2011

beside the seaside.

La Redoute Blazer and Dress  -  Vintage Bag  -  Topshop Brogues

So this is what I wore when I went to Brighton today! I used the vintage bag again, I have so much love for it, and it really went well with my dress I think. My dress and blazer are from a French catalogue called La Redoute, which I've been getting clothes from ever since I was little, it has some really good finds. My brogues are from Topshop, I wear them so much I had to get them re-soled, but they're also my school shoes, so I wear them nearly everyday, but I really want to get another similar pair, or a pair of penny loafers, they go with so much, but until I get some money it's not going to happen haha!

day six.

So today I went to Brighton for a Uni open day, but seeing as we got there early, me and my parents went and had fish and chips on the beach and walked along the sea front while I wondered around taking pictures. I don't normally take pictures of things, I'm more of a portraits person, but I think this blog is really helping to take pictures of other things. I really love Brighton, hopefully I'll come here again soon and can take some more pictures, but maybe with someone to model for me this time!

Monday 6 June 2011

day five.

Day five, I've finished all my exams which is great, but the weather's crap and my driving lesson's just been cancelled, so to entertain myself, I played around with my lighter and my camera. Now, this is the first lighter I've ever bought, I always had matches, but I just got fed up with the wind constantly blowing them out so easily! But anyway, I played around with the lighter and camera, and these were my favourite few, the top three were shot with a slow shutter speed, whereas the last one was just on a standard speed. But I think they've come out pretty cool!

Sunday 5 June 2011

If you go down to the woods today...

Vintage Dress - Vintage Bag - Accessorize Birdcage Necklace - Vintage Belt

So this is my first LookBook post, I'm not too sure what to say, so if it's crap, I shall improve by next time! So the dress I'm wearing is actually a skirt, I got it from Beyond Retro, just off Brick Lane, a few years ago, and though that it actually looked much better as a dress, as the belt gives it shape. Unfortunately, my brown belt is nearing the end of its days, it's falling apart, but I just pray it hangs on in there! The bag is also vintage, I got it from Blackout II in Covent Garden and it's from the early sixties. I only bought it last week but I now use it all the time! Hopefully this post wasn't too bad, and I'll keep putting up my looks if anyone out there is reading this (:
